Meet author Dr. Joanne S. Grasso as she explores George Washington’s visits to Long Island. Her new book, "George Washington's 1790 Grand Tour of Long Island", will be published on July 9th.

George Washington was on Long Island four times during the course of his political and military careers. In April 1790 he made a large tour of Long Island in the second year of his presidency.  Dr. Grasso will discuss this tour and an overview of the stops that he made.
