Katims Optometry is still with us. It is a 82 year old family business, founded back in 1938, passed from father to son, and now including the granddaughter.
Not only has it survived, it has thrived, absorbing its neighbors on either side. You can’t make it out in the photo, but his window display is worthy of a trip for a closer look for a history lesson. Dr. Katims has artifacts of his profession on display.
