The Flower Hill/Ireland/Burtis Burial Ground 

The Flower Hill Cemetery, also known as the Ireland/Burtis Burial Ground, is located on Country Club Drive off Port Washington Blvd.

 

The cemetery was used by the Ireland and Burtis families between 1798 and 1896. There are 10 internments and 8 remaining headstones. At least two men buried in the cemetery fought in the American Revolution: John Burtis served in Colonel Sands regiment and Daniel Ireland was a Private in the same regiment.
